VIDEO – Google Wave is a Powerful Indication of Where the Web is Headed

Twitter was a abuzz this week with the top SEO consultants and tech-gurus about the announcements made by Google this week of its new tool for communication and collaboration on the web, coming later this year.

One of the most interesting announcements about Google Wave, the AJAX based, widget-heavy, reconciliation of Twitter-type feeds, email (and Gmail style indexing), and IM behaviors is that it will be open-source and Google really wants independent developers to get excited about created applications for the platform, in much the same way the iPhone benefited from doing so.

A video centered around the official Google Wave Developer Preview presentation at the Day 2 Keynote of Google I/O made headlines and saw huge amounts of viral traffic as people were introduced to this exciting new communications, socializing and data management concept.
