Darren Rowse, the mastermind behind ProBlogger started his first new blog in years based around it. There are more books about Twitter at Amazon than there are about Rocket Science. Barack Obama does it. So does Neil Gaiman. From the outside it just seems like a glorified RSS Feed for Facebook updates. So what is this Twitter thing that everyone keep s talking about? What is it about this Web 2.5 app that has the biggest movers and shakers in the blogging world, the IT world and even the entertainment industry all, well – a-twitter?

One of the ways make your site unique and start building your own personal brand is that little image you see to the left of the URL in the browser line called a favicon that tells people “No, I am not the property of Blogger, I am ME!” Here are some cool resources for making and uploading your own.

One of the first mistakes I made when I started building my own “self-hosted” Wordpress blogs was what any kid with a shiny new nickel might – I ran around the plugins directory and gorged myself on every wicked new app out there, hoping to build the Ultimate Star Destroyer of all Blogs with my massive arsenal of killer addons.
This was good for a while, and I am glad I had the opportunity to test out different combinations, but one day I woke up to a text message that one of my key sites had the most terrifying message known to any site admin:
“This Account Has Been Suspended. Please contact us immediately.”
There is a plethora information concerning how to start a blog, but most of it is hyperbole and seldom gets down to the stuff you really need to know.
